Why Are We Doing This Anyway?

Our “day job” is great – we are educational consultants who work with K-12 kids and their families in a personalized learning setting. We get to coach others who are interested in finding ways to help all kids learn – using both “in” and “out-of-the-box” strategies and resources.
With all of this experience, we finally feel ready to share our knowledge with the world at large. We plan to bring you weekly “food for thought” posts about all things related to education. It’s not just about a grade level or “type” of kid – we really aim to provide a unique perspective, regardless of your educational institution, philosophy, or level of teaching experience.
Some of our topics will include:
- Concrete posts/pictures with activities classroom teachers can implement immediately (including center activities, writing lessons, math games, manipulatives, and more)
- Advice for new/modern-day homeschoolers and those who work with alternative populations and/or multiple grade/ability levels
- Interviews and perspectives from people surrounding the world of education (media specialists, parents, classroom aides, career counselors, OTs, SLPs, administrators, educational non-profit directors, and more)
- Thought-provoking articles on issues surrounding education today
We will also have a special section of our website dedicated to teachers who want to learn more about teacherpreneurship and how to build a successful business online.
Regardless of how you found us, we hope that you’ll take the time to look around, comment, and share what you like with others. Check out our “About Me” section to learn more about our background and experience.
Thanks for checking in,
Kelly and Diane
